“Pray Like You Believe”- YW New Beginnings

“Oh how lovely was the” evening!  The young women held their New Beginnings last night.  “Pray Like You Believe” was their theme that goes along with this years youth theme “ASK!” b-blogpray2

The YW leaders created  a setting from “a lovely morning” when a young boy, Joseph, first asked a question.  The missionaries came and recited the first vision and the young women sang “Joseph Smith’s First Prayer”  It was BEAUTIFUL!  We have so many talented singers in our YW program! Click here to hear the song they sang!b-blogpray18b-blogpray17  Everything was decked out in green! We loved how they had detailed trees on their cookies and the little green birds!b-blogpray4b-blogpray5b-blogpray6They welcomed the baby birds to the nest!  The future beehives received a ribbon of value birds that represented each color value!  The young women are excited for these sweet girls to join their group!b-blogpray15b-blogpray7b-blogpray8b-blogpray9b-blogpray10b-blogpray11b-blogpray13

A new year and new beginning to apply the lessons taught.  ASK and ye shall receive! How blessed our young women are to know and live by the young women’s theme:

We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him. We will “stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places” (Mosiah 18:9) as we strive to live the Young Women values, which are:

FaithDivine NatureIndividual WorthKnowledgeChoice and AccountabilityGood WorksIntegrity • and Virtue

We believe as we come to accept and act upon these values, we will be prepared to strengthen home and family, make and keep sacred covenants, receive the ordinances of the temple, and enjoy the blessings of exaltation.
